I usually have a few “bucket list” type projects and, for a while now, shooting ice cream has been high up on that list. I’m so stoked to finally share what has been in the works, slowly coming together, for over a year now.
I partnered with It’s Super to help capture still, stop-motion, and eComm assets for the launch of the all new Two Rabbits Ice Cream brand identity and packaging — expertly crafted by Julie Eckert with illustrations by Sarah Beth Morgan. Our goal was to create imagery that was warm, fun, sexy, healthy, and indulgent. Part of the concept I pitched involved making large ultra clear ice blocks to use as plinths for scoops of ice cream….Little did I know at the time that I would end up photographing them in the middle of summer with a single AC window unit barely able to keep the room below 80…that was wild.
All technical aspects aside, I’m so pumped with how this all turned out and grateful to have had the chance to work with Julie and Sarah on this project.
